Brighton v Manchester City Match Preview – Easy win or banana skin? 0

Posted on August 10, 2017 by Admin

brightonandhovealbionThe first David v Goliath clash of the 2017/18 Premiership season takes place on Saturday as newly promoted Brighton host megabucks Man City at The Amex. Brighton fans are giddy with excitement after the Seagulls just broke their transfer record to capture PSV Eindhoven’s Davy Propper in a £6 million deal. City boss Pep Guardiola makes that in less than five months. The Citizens have broken the world record for the largest spend in a single transfer window by snapping up a quintet of stars and they are the clear favourites to win the title, while Brighton are tipped for the drop. On paper it should prove a complete mismatch, but Brighton are a decent side and may well spring a surprise.

Will De Bruyne help Man City to seal £46m transfer? 0

I would have thought that the transfer of Kevin De Bruyne to Manchester City was already a done deal after the Man City transfer rumours revealed this week that we had already made an offer of around £46 million to the German Bundesliga club Wolfsburg, despite denials from the coach Dieter Hecking. City have not been shy of splashing even more cash to increase their chances of winning the Premier League title, and De Bruyne will definitely give them more firepower for the campaign, which resumes with a cruch match against Chelsea on Sunday.

Is Man City boss REALLY safe from Ancelotti and Klopp? 0

Posted on May 16, 2015 by Admin

Not long ago all the Manchester City transfer rumours were talking about the Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola taking over from Manuel Pellegrini at the end of the current season, and as the German champions recently suffered the disappointment of being knocked out of both the German cup and the Champions League it seemed more likely.

Things have certainly taken a turn for the better for Manchester City over the last month or so, even though Chelsea have already wrapped up the Premier League title for this season. That was always going to happen though and for a while it looked as though we might struggle to even qualify for the Champions League next season.

Title to lead Man City players to more glory…even the World Cup? 0

There is just one game to go Manchester City fans, but we will still be nervous tomorrow, even though we only need a draw. West Ham have been speaking all week about spoiling our party and nobody, especially the City players, will forget how close we came to fluffing our lines against QPR two years ago. Thank you Joey Barton, you nutter.

Good away win has made Man City BIG favourites for title 0

Manuel Pellegrini was clearly delighted that Manchester City came away from the Hawthorns with all three points after beating a string West Brom side 3-2. A lot of the talk surrounding City recently has been about the away form holding back the title push, because City have been destroying teams at home and scoring for fun, with 28 goals scored in the last six games at the Etihad.

MANUEL’S SUMMER SIGNINGS OUTSHINING MOURINHO’S

As Manchester City plan for the trip to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, Manuel Pellegrini can possibly take some comfort in this story about how the betting public is much more impressed with the transfer business done by City in the summer as opposed to that of our Premier League rivals managed by the not-so-special one Jose Mourinho.

What have Man City learnt from Arsenal and pre-season? 0

Posted on August 13, 2013 by Admin

Ever since the news broke about Manchester City getting rid of the popular successful Roberto Mancini and replacing him with Manuel Pellegrini, the club has been under the microscope by fans and the media alike. If the new boss fails to replicate the success of Mancini, the move will be seen as a massive gamble which backfired, so there is a lot of pressure on Pellegrini to get City firing on all cylinders pretty damn quickly.

Kolo Toure’s time with Manchester City is officially coming to an end after Liverpool announced on Tuesday that they have signed the central defender to a contract to begin on July 1st, the date that Toure’s contract with Manchester City expires.

Bookies convinced Man City will sack Mancini 1

The timing of this could not be worse for Manchester City. When everybody at the club should be pulling together and preparing to enjoy the best day of the season, culminating in a second FA cup and third major trophy in three seasons, all the media attention has switched on to whether Roberto Mancini will still have a job at the end of the season.
