Brighton v Manchester City Match Preview – Easy win or banana skin? 0

Posted on August 10, 2017 by Admin

brightonandhovealbionThe first David v Goliath clash of the 2017/18 Premiership season takes place on Saturday as newly promoted Brighton host megabucks Man City at The Amex. Brighton fans are giddy with excitement after the Seagulls just broke their transfer record to capture PSV Eindhoven’s Davy Propper in a £6 million deal. City boss Pep Guardiola makes that in less than five months. The Citizens have broken the world record for the largest spend in a single transfer window by snapping up a quintet of stars and they are the clear favourites to win the title, while Brighton are tipped for the drop. On paper it should prove a complete mismatch, but Brighton are a decent side and may well spring a surprise.

Posted on December 03, 2016 by Admin

As well as being the battle between two football teams full of quality and expensively arrayed players, the Premier League clash between Man City and Chelsea has been billed as a test of the tactical nous of two of the best managers in the game today.

Man City WON’T pip Barcelona but MUST not lose in UCL tonight 0

Posted on November 23, 2016 by Admin

Even though Pep Guardiola and the Manchester City players will be well aware that they need a minor miracle to be able to pip La Liga giants Barcelona to the top spot in our Champions League group, we still cannot take thwe foot off the gas in tonight’s European tie away to Borussia Monchengladbach as it could even cost us a place in the next round.

Man City must beware Crystal Palace bounceback 0

Posted on November 19, 2016 by Admin

Even though it may look like Manchester City should get a banker win away to Crystal Palace today, with the form showing that the home side are on a terrible run and have not won in six games since their defeat of Sunderland, I do not think we should jump the gun here.

Kompany BENCHED for Man City v Middlesborough 0

Posted on November 05, 2016 by Admin

The Manchester City and Belgium international star has certainly had more than his fair share of injury problems in his playing career, and the last time he started a game for us he had to be replaced by Pep Guardiola quite early on as his match fitness was not there yet.

Guardiola and Man City kids to pile misery on Mourinho and Man Utd 0

Posted on October 26, 2016 by Admin

Pep Guardiola and Manchester City may have had a bit of a tough time lately, with his first two defeats since taking over coming against Tottenham and Barcelona in a short space of time. Even with those, however, and with a few draws thrown in, we are still sitting on top of the Premier League table and how Man United fans and Jose Mourinho must wish they were in our place.

Aguero ban to help Man City beat Monchengladbach in Champions League 0

Posted on September 13, 2016 by Admin

The Manchester City and Argentina international striker still has two match left of the three match ban handed out for that elbow on West Ham defender Winston Reid, but that does not apply to the Champions League and having a fit and fresh Sergio Aguero to unleash on the German club Borussia Monchengladbach tonight is just what the doctor ordered as City aim to get this UCL campaign up and running with a win.

Man City team with NO Kompany for QPR trip 0

Posted on November 08, 2014 by Admin

To say that Manchester City losing the captain and centre back Vincent Kompany is a bit of an understatement, especially as we are away to QPR who have the two big front men Bobby Zamora and Charle Austin to cause an already wobbly City back four problems.

Man City v CSKA Moscow Preview and Line Up 0

Posted on November 05, 2014 by Admin

The maths is pretty simple for Manuel Pellegrini and Manchester City now in the Champions League. After the disappointing draw with CSKA in Moscow two weeks ago, City are teetering on the brink of an early Champions League exit, but at least we have our destiny in our own hands.

Man City starting XI for derby clash with United 0

Posted on November 02, 2014 by Admin

Although a draw in the Manchester derby would keep Man City in third place in the Premier League table and ensure that Louis van Gaal and his Man United team remained four points behind us and continued to endure a worse start to the new campaign than they did with David Moyes, surely we will be going for all three points.
