Is Man City boss REALLY safe from Ancelotti and Klopp?

Posted on May 16, 2015 by Admin

Not long ago all the Manchester City transfer rumours were talking about the Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola taking over from Manuel Pellegrini at the end of the current season, and as the German champions recently suffered the disappointment of being knocked out of both the German cup and the Champions League it seemed more likely.

As reported by the Daily Star, however, Pellegrini has flatly denied this. In fact both managerĀ“s have declared that they will still be with their current employers next season. I can certainly see Bayern giving Pep another year as they cruised to the title and were hit with an injury crisis but Man City have no trophy and did not really look like getting one, leaving us fans nothing but our favourite Netent slot to keep us happy over the summer.

Pellegrini said, “”I don’t have to talk about it.

“I have my own future so clear, so many years ago, so it doesn’t matter.”

You could argue that Pellegrini deserves more time after his great first season but I am not so sure, especially when there are two very highly regarded coaches waiting in the wings for someone to snap up. The report also claims to have news from Spain that Ancelotti may have already agreed to take over. Unless he can produce a miracle to give Real Madrid the Spanish La Liga title it seems certain that he will be sacked.

And even if he does keep his job we know that Jurgen Klopp is leaving Borussia Dortmund. I think the German is a great manager and would possibly give Man City the drive we have lacked this year. In fact I would prefer him to Ancelotti. Who do you think will be in charge of Man City next season?
