Man City should accept Benzema and cash for Aguero

Posted on March 26, 2013 by Admin

The Manchester city and Argentina striker Sergio Aguero is wanted by both Real Madrid and Barcelona, and it seems that the 24-year old is keen to return to Spain. His former wife, the daughter of Diego Maradona, and his young son spend a lot of time at their house in Madrid apparently, and Aguero is keen to be closer to them.

I am a huge fane of Aguero and don’t really want to see him leave City, but there is not much point in forcing him to stay against his will, because his form will suffer and his value will drop. Real Madrid may be about to make us an offer that is very hard to turn down, according to the Daily Star.

The president of Madrid, Florentino Perez, has heard of Barcelona’s interest and is desperate to win the battle. He is prepared to offer cash plus either of the current Madrid strikers in exchange for Aguero. Providing the money is right, I think we should snap his hand off. I prefer Karim Benzema to Gonzalo Higuain, despite the French striker suffering a recent dip in form. He would offer City something different in attack, whereas Higuain is quite similat to Edin Dzeko.

If Madrid are really desperate, which they seemingly are as they may lose Ronaldo, City could push then for about £30 million plus Benzema. Then we would have three quality forwards in Tevez, Dzeko and Benzema, and a huge chunk of money towards another one, such as Edinson Cavani. City’s owners know they must start to conform with the new FFP rules, and this deal would really help.

  1. Are you mad? only joking sound argument if Sergio is unhappy but that is a big IF. Personally I think Silva is holding the team back and he should be the one to go. Don’t see his position in a 4-3-3 formation.
