Man City team with NO Kompany for QPR trip

Posted on November 08, 2014 by Admin

To say that Manchester City losing the captain and centre back Vincent Kompany is a bit of an understatement, especially as we are away to QPR who have the two big front men Bobby Zamora and Charle Austin to cause an already wobbly City back four problems.

That is why Manuel Pellegrini has opted to tighten up the midfield and play Sergio Aguero as the lone striker. Yaya Toure will be hoping to put the red card and the disappointment of the CSKA Champions League game behind him, with Samir NBasri on the left to hopefully create more in the absence of David Silva.

Fernando and Frenandinho should give City plenty of power and bite in the middle of the pitch, with Navas offering pace and width on the right. The two former Arsenal stars Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy must be aware but will hopefully be able to get forward and help out the attacks as well.

Sagna, Demichelis, Mangala, Clichy
Navas, Toure, Fernando, Fernandinho, Nasri

subs: Caballero, Zabaleta, Boyata, Milner, Lampard, Jovetic, Dzeko

There is plenty of talent on the pitch and on the bench but this is more about attitude and approach from the City players who must step up and prove our critics wrong, especially after Chelsea won at Liverpool and must not be allowed to build too strong a lead.
