Things have certainly taken a turn for the better for Manchester City over the last month or so, even though Chelsea have already wrapped up the Premier League title for this season. That was always going to happen though and for a while it looked as though we might struggle to even qualify for the Champions League next season.

There is no doubt that tonight’s game between Manchester City and Chelsea at the Etihad is a huge one. Not only could it prove to be a decisive result at the end of the season, it could give whichever team wins a real edge over the other. Perhaps that is why Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is doing everything in his power to get under the skin of Manuel Pellegrini and the City players.

Any of the many rivals hoping that Manchester City may have slipped up on their trip to White Hart Lane to face a Tottenham side in resurgent form under new boss Tim Sherwood will have been sorely disappointed. City were imperious and put City to the sword with no mercy(see video below).

Hart considering future at Man City as World Cup looms 0

There was a story doing the rounds of the papers in the last couple of days that Joe Hart had got his Manchester City starting place back. The England keeper has only been used in the Champions League games since being dropped by Manuel Pellegrini after a string of costly errors culminated in him handing all three points to Premier League rivals Chelsea in a game that City dominated.

Is Man City captain Kompany right to think Saints draw was OK? 0

You might have thought that Manuel Pellegrini and his Manchester City players would be disappointed at missing out on the chance to make up really good ground on their Premier League rivals at the weekend, especially after taking an early lead through another fine strike by Sergio Aguero.

There is no doubt that Manchester City have a serious problem with their away form, after dropping points on the road again yesterday. In fact, by the end of the game against a depleted Southampton side at St. Mary’s, we were quite relieved to come away with a point. Luckily enough, Chelsea lost as did Manchester United, but it is still a concern.

Good away win has made Man City BIG favourites for title 0

Manuel Pellegrini was clearly delighted that Manchester City came away from the Hawthorns with all three points after beating a string West Brom side 3-2. A lot of the talk surrounding City recently has been about the away form holding back the title push, because City have been destroying teams at home and scoring for fun, with 28 goals scored in the last six games at the Etihad.

Inconsistency can cost Man City the Premier League title 0

By losing on Saturday, Manchester City slipped to their second 3-2 defeat away from home this season. The loss to Aston Villa was even more surprising that the one at Cardiff, for me, because it came on the back of a fantastic week. After grabbing a great away win in the Champions League, pasting United in the Manchester derby, and getting revenge on Wigan in the cup, it looked like Pellegrini and the players were really motoring.

Man City tell Madrid £20 m and that’s Final Offer for Pepe 0

Manuel Pellegrini is a little concerned about his Manchester City defence, especially after seeing Arsenal put three past them in Helsinki on Saturday. The new manager is not too worried, though, so the £20 million offer that will be put to Real Madrid this week will be the final one, whether it is accepted or not.

Man City are the best in England says Pellegrini – Now Prove It 0

In football, you get used to hearing platitudes and cliches so much that you get used to it. So to hear the new Manchester City boss be so bullish about his team and squad, which actually puts pressure onto his own shoulders is a little surprising, but that is what Manuel Pellegrini did today just over a week before he begins the attempt to bring the English Premier League title back to the Etihad stadiun for the second time in three years.
