Ibrahimovic would almost guarantee Man City the Premier League title 2

Posted on July 13, 2013 by Admin

If there is even a small chance that Manchester City could sign the Swedish international striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic then Manuel Pellegrini should have been on the phone already. Just as the signing of Robin van Persie from Arsenal proved to be the difference for United last season, I think Ibrahimovic would have the same effect for City this time.

Man City target Cavani will go to PSG 0

There were a number of top clubs around Europe, including Manchester City, chasing the signature of Edinson Cavani this summer. The Uruguayan international striker was definitely one of the most sought after transfer targets, after blasting over 30 goals a season for the last three years, but his release clause of over £50 million and the refusal by Napoli to consider any other offers has put off most of the clubs.

Man City disappointed by another striker transfer target 0

The search for a striker or two to replace Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli at Manchester City is proving to be a lot more difficult that expected. One of the major problems is that all the top strikers are wanted by a large number of clubs, and everybody seems to have a lot of money to spend.

There is no doubt that Manchester City can afford Edinson Cavani, despite the massive release clause of over £50 million in his contract with the Serie A club Napoli. That is not the only obstacle standing in the way of capturing the big Uruguayan striker, however, as the list of top European clubs after his signature continues to grow.

Pellegrini eyes another striker as Cavani to Man City looks off 0

It is looking ever more likely that Manchester City will not be signing Edinson Cavani from Napoli this summer. The Italian club is stubbornly refusing to budge on it’s ridiculous release clause of around £55 million, and Pellegrini will not countenance such a move, apparently. I think that is right, whether we can afford it or not, because huge price tags bring with them huge pressure for the player. We have seen what a negative effect this can have recently with Fernando Torres and Andy Carroll.

There are stories in the media today suggesting that Oscar could be a transfer target for Manchester City and the new boss Manuel Pellegrini. I am not talking about the Chelsea and Brazil midfielder, though. The player in question is Oscar Cardozo.

After Manchester City confirmed the transfer of the Argentinean striker Carlos Tevez to Juventus, the squad is looking a little bit short of firepower, but that could soon be sorted out, if the rumours about City trying for the transfer of the Polish international Robert Lewandowski from Borussia Dortmund.

Just last week, everything was looking rosy for Manchester City in the transfer market. We had already made two excellent signings in Jesus Navas and Fernandinho, Isco was thought to be on his way and we were leading the race for Edinson Cavani. However, I am not feeling quite so positive anymore.

The transfer rumours linking Manchester City with the summer signing of Edinson Cavani from Napoli have gone a bit quiet recently, and today there are stories in the media that both Chelsea and Manchester United are preparing offers for the Uruguayan international.

Man City cannot sell Tevez to Milan before signing new striker 0

It seems crazy, but Manchester City could be on the verge of selling Carlos Tevez to AC Milan, leaving the club with just two established first team strikers in Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko. Of course, it is about time that the young Swedish striker John Guidetti got his chance in the team, but until he is proven in the Premier League, City cannot rely on just Aguero and Dzeko.
