Man City v CSKA Moscow Preview and Line Up 0

Posted on November 05, 2014 by Admin

The maths is pretty simple for Manuel Pellegrini and Manchester City now in the Champions League. After the disappointing draw with CSKA in Moscow two weeks ago, City are teetering on the brink of an early Champions League exit, but at least we have our destiny in our own hands.

Take Hart Joe! Man City were bad all over 0

Inconsistency is killing Manchester City at the start of this season, although individual errors obviously don’t help. I am not saying that Joe Hart has not made mistakes, but he is getting too much of the blame for City’s problems. The whole team was not at the races against Bayern Munich last night, it was almost like they froze.

Clichy and Aguero send Man city title warning to rivals 0

Too much confidence, or overconfidence, can be a bad thing, but the Manchester City players Sergio Aguero and Gael Clichy feel they have good reasons to be confident about this season, and it is hard to disagree with them. The club has, in my opinion, done by far the best business in the transfer market this summer, and we already had probably the strongest squad in the Premier League.

There have been growing rumours that the Manchester City and Serbian international left back, Aleksandar Kolarov, was on the verge of moving to Italy to join the Serie A champions Juventus before the transfer window slams shut at 11 p.m. on Monday.

It is still too early to tell, but Manchester City are starting to look like the real deal. All four of the new signings have already shown that they will be significant and productive additions to the City squad, while there are signs that Manuel Pellegrini is already making his influence felt.

Man City transfer news – Maicon and Kolarov 0

There seems to be movement on the cards along both sides of the Manchester City defence, after transfer rumours in the media about the Brazilian right back Maicon and the Serbian left back Aleksandar Kolarov. Both of these City players could soon be playing in Serie A, but should City really let them go.

As the summer draws ever nearer and the transfer rumour mill starts to heat up, Manchester City are being linked with an increasing number of players, even before the new boss is announced. The fact Manuel Pellegrini will be in charge next season has been going toe to toe with the Chelsea and Mourinho story for the worst kept football secret of the year.

One of the biggest problems facing the manager of a big club like Manchester City is managing the squad, as Roberto Mancini is all too aware. The Italian boss has had his fair share of problems with players and selection issues, but that is a big part of the job. Recent high profile disagreements with Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli seemed to have been resolved, but the problem never really goes away.

Man City can come back like Toure 0

A few weeks ago nobody gave Manchester City any real hope of coming back into the race for the Premier League title. Two points from three games against QPR, Liverpool and Southampton, and the way the team performed, seemed to have handed the title to United. However, City are on the up and playing much better, whereas United are hitting a tricky patch. The City players believe it is possible, while United are starting to lose some comfidence.

Kompany causes Defensive difficulties for Man City 0

Maybe Manchester City were destined to be without Vincent Kompany for a few games. No sooner did the FA surprise everyone by rescinding the red card that the Belgian defender picked up against Arsenal than he fell awkwardly against Stoke at the weekend and looks set to miss two or three weeks with a calf problem.
