The man who many think will soon be the next manager of Manchester City has taken one step closer to the Etihad by stepping down from his current job as manager of Malaga in La Liga. It has been suggested that Pellegrini has already had a meeting with Man City officials, in fact it was rumours of this meeting hitting the papers on the morning of the FA cup final that tolled the death knell for Roberto Mancini.

Shocking Man City FA cup loss may have cost Mancini his job 0

I can hardly believe what I have just witnessed as an awful display from Manchester City culminated in Wigan grabbing a late winner at Wembley. Fair play to Wigan, though. They were better than City from start to finish and deserved the trophy.

You can’t help feeling for the Manchester City and England keeper Joe Hart. It looks like he is going to miss out on tomorrow’s FA cup final against Wigan Athletic, because Roberto Mancini and the club have promised the second choice keeper, Costel Pantilimon, that he would not be dropped for the final after playing throughout the qualifying stages.

The only Manchester City player to start more games for the club than Yaya Toure this season is the keeper Joe Hart. That is despeite the Ivorian being away on international duty at the African Cup of Nations at the start of the year. I wouldn’t go so far as to say he is indispensable, but he will be a guaranteed starter for the FA cup final against Wigan on Saturday, as long as he is fit.
