Man City starting XI for Tottenham clash – Toure starts! 0

There have been some suggestions in the media this week that the Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini might rest our star midfielder Yaya Toure for the visit of Tottenhan Hotspur, but I just cannot see it happening. With Fernandinho and Nasri already on the injury list according to physioroom.com, we need the Ivorian’s presence and power in the middle.

Official teams and preview of Man City v Roma 0

This is a massively important game for Man City, if we are to retain any hop of beating the German giants Bayern Munich to top spot in the Champions League group, as we so nearly did last season. But tonight’s opponents Roma are a very tough side who currently share top of Italy’s Serie A table with Juventus and have a 100 percent record so far this season.

Pellegrini let Man City down by blaming referee 0

It was gutting to see things go wrong for Manchester City last night, especially the late Barcelona goal scored by Dani Alves that makes a turnaround at the Nou Camp so much more difficult. But what was just as painful, for me, was to see Manuel Pellegrini blame it all on the Swedish referee Jonas Eriksson.

MANUEL’S SUMMER SIGNINGS OUTSHINING MOURINHO’S

As Manchester City plan for the trip to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, Manuel Pellegrini can possibly take some comfort in this story about how the betting public is much more impressed with the transfer business done by City in the summer as opposed to that of our Premier League rivals managed by the not-so-special one Jose Mourinho.

Take Hart Joe! Man City were bad all over 0

Inconsistency is killing Manchester City at the start of this season, although individual errors obviously don’t help. I am not saying that Joe Hart has not made mistakes, but he is getting too much of the blame for City’s problems. The whole team was not at the races against Bayern Munich last night, it was almost like they froze.

Manchester City cruised into the next round of the Capital One cup with an emphatic drubbing of the team that beat us in the FA cup final last season. The 5-0 scoreline was the perfect end to the perfect week of football for the Citizens and means the team are really on a roll (video highlights below).

An away trip to face Stoke at the Britannia Stadium is always a potentially damaging encounter, and there are a few factors that make today’s game even more fraught with danger for Manchester City. Stoke have a great home record, and have had a fresh burst of impetus since the former City boss Mark Hughes took over.

No more injuries but some goals for Man City international stars 1

New Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini knew that he had a tough task on his hands already, with two tricky away trips coming up. With an already depleted defense and David Silva picking up a thigh problem playing for Spain last week, the manager will be mightily relieved to get the rest of the City players back in one piece.

Super Man City send title rivals BIG warning (with highlights) 0

I know it is only one game into the Premier League season, but come on, it feels good for Manchester City to be top of the league doesn’t it? It’s only on goal difference, of course, but we all know how important goal difference can be, having won the title by having an eight goal better record than United. The other thing about scoring lots of goals is that it is great for the fans and gives the players lots of confidence.

What have Man City learnt from Arsenal and pre-season? 0

Ever since the news broke about Manchester City getting rid of the popular successful Roberto Mancini and replacing him with Manuel Pellegrini, the club has been under the microscope by fans and the media alike. If the new boss fails to replicate the success of Mancini, the move will be seen as a massive gamble which backfired, so there is a lot of pressure on Pellegrini to get City firing on all cylinders pretty damn quickly.
