Game ON for Man City to secure second in BPL 0

Posted on May 14, 2015 by Admin

Things have certainly taken a turn for the better for Manchester City over the last month or so, even though Chelsea have already wrapped up the Premier League title for this season. That was always going to happen though and for a while it looked as though we might struggle to even qualify for the Champions League next season.

Man City will have Yaya Toure fit for FA cup final….hopefully! 0

The only Manchester City player to start more games for the club than Yaya Toure this season is the keeper Joe Hart. That is despeite the Ivorian being away on international duty at the African Cup of Nations at the start of the year. I wouldn’t go so far as to say he is indispensable, but he will be a guaranteed starter for the FA cup final against Wigan on Saturday, as long as he is fit.

Manchester City travel to Wales tomorrow to play Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium. The chances of Scott Sinclair getting his fourth start of the season against his former club are pretty slim, however, and the midfielder could soon be playing there regularly again. Michael Laudrup has offered encouragement to the 24-year old midfielder, who seems destined to move on in the summer.

Everton and Villa hoping to sign Sinclair from Man City 0

When Scott Sinclair moved to Manchester City on the last day of the summer transfer window last year, it was always expected that he would find it hard to force his way into the first team. City were the Premier League champions and full of world class players like David Silva and Yaya Toure. Sinclair must be disappointed with his debut season, though, because he has made just two league starts.

Good Injury news on Richards for Man City 0

Roberto Mancini finally got some good news on the injury front as it was revealed that Micah Richards will not miss as much of the season as first feared. Manchester City were already struggling to cope with the injury list and the treatment room was getting a bit crowded before a bizarre knee injury forced the 24-year old right back out of last weekend’s Premier league match against Swansea.

Richards injured as Manchester City just beat Swansea 0

Roberto Mancini started the game with a standard flat back four for Manchester City, Nastasic alongside Kompany in the middle, Richards on the right and Clichy on the left. Tevez and Aguero were the two strikers but they interchanged which was the furthest forward while the other dropped deeper.

Man City can pressure Chelsea and United with a win at Swansea 0

Most newspapers have latched on to the comments made by Micah Richards and Roberto Mancini after the Champions League defeat by Ajax to ramp up the pressure on the Manchester City boss. Mancini has declared that he is not worried about the comments or about his defensive experiments that caused them. The Italian has told his players that they should be good enough to play in any system and if suggested that Richards’ discomfort is more down to his lack of time on the pitch this season rather than the three centre backs system.

Stefan Jovetic from Fiorentina, Scott Sinclair from Swansea City and David Luiz from Chelsea have all been linked with a move to Manchester City this week, as Roberto Mancini is running out of time to bring in new players before the window closes on Friday night.

Man City transfer news-Johnson, De Rossi and Sinclair 2

Roberto Mancini is itching to do a bit more business in the transfer market before the window closes at the end of the month. The signing of Jack Rodwell this week was the first move that Manchester City have made all summer. Mancini has grown frustrated and is apparently locked in dispute with Brian Marwood about how the club should proceed with transfer dealings.
